What is QwenWork?

QwenWork (千问办公) is Alibaba's one-stop office AI agent for everyday work: it reads and edits local documents, spreadsheets, and presentations directly from natural-language instructions. It's a separate product from the Qwen Code CLI and from QoderWork — Alibaba's China site lists it as its own, independently branded download.

Vibe Island is an independent notch companion for QwenWork, not an Alibaba product. Install QwenWork, launch Vibe Island once, and the integration configures itself.

See the actual project, not a random ID

QwenWork sessions appear in the notch the moment they start, and the card shows the project you selected inside QwenWork — not an opaque internal token. Tool activity streams in as it happens, so you always know what QwenWork is working on.

Know when it needs you

When QwenWork needs your attention, the notch lets you know. You respond inside QwenWork itself — Vibe Island surfaces the moment so you never discover a stalled session ten minutes later.

Task completion notifications

When a QwenWork session finishes, Vibe Island sends a macOS notification. Click it to bring QwenWork to the front — no more checking back every few minutes to see if a task is done.

Zero config setup

Vibe Island auto-configures QwenWork on first launch. No manual editing, no API keys to wire up. Just install Vibe Island and start using QwenWork. Existing settings are preserved.

Run alongside other agents

Mix QwenWork with Claude Code, Codex CLI, ZCode, Gemini CLI, Antigravity CLI, Cursor Agent, Trae, OpenCode, MiMoCode, Factory Droid, Devin, Qoder, QoderWork, Qwen, Grok Build, Kimi Code, DeepSeek, DeepSeek Harness (DSH), Mistral Vibe, Copilot, CodeBuddy, WorkBuddy, Kiro, Hermes, Amp, Pi Agent, Oh My Pi, and Gajae Code. Every session appears in the same notch panel, so you can run multiple agents in parallel and monitor them at a glance.

Frequently asked questions

Is QwenWork the same as the Qwen Code CLI?

No. Qwen Code is Alibaba's coding CLI, tracked as its own Qwen integration. QwenWork is a separate desktop office agent for document and file tasks, with its own Vibe Island integration.

Is QwenWork the China version of QoderWork?

No. Alibaba's China site lists QoderWork and QwenWork (千问办公) as two separate downloads with different branding, and Vibe Island tracks them as two separate integrations.
